The Buttons at the museum

PARENT: This is a very special museum. There are going to be so many intersting things for us to look at here!

CHILD: There are elevators here!!!! Can I push the button!?!?!?!

PARENT: There are so many great restaurants here for us to explore. I can’t wait to try something new and different.

CHILD: Can you believe they have Kraft Dinner here too? Can we have it tonight in the hotel room?

PARENT: Look at the view!! Wow, can you believe we’re really standing in front of this waterfall in real life!?

CHILD: Look, I can do my own zipper!

The museum, the restaurant, the view really is amazing. Just don’t let trying to open our children’s eyes to the big experiences of life, to all there is to see out there distract us from them bringing us right back into the moment, to the simple, miraculous little things, reminding us that really they’re all that matter.
